Whippet Softball Team are District Runner’s Up

The Minden Whippet Softball team brought home the runner up plaque at Districts on Friday. In the tournament Minden defeated Blue Hill 12-4 and Southern Valley 6 – 2. Gothenburg defeated Minden 9 – 1 Thursday and then 9 – 2 in the championship game on Friday.
In the Blue Hill game both Brianna Gillespie and Alex Grow hit homeruns over the left field fence for the Whippets.
The team consists of Seniors: Alex Grow, Sadie Jons, and Audrie Muller; Juniors: Brooke Choquette, Brianna Gillespie, Rachel Papaz, Taylor Pittner, and Morgan Sinsel; Sophomores: McKenzi Boehlr, Sarah Jurgens, Kenzi Miller and Emily Strobel; Freshmen: Alexis Frerichs, Alyssa Frerichs, Rachael Nielsen, Makayla Rutt, Dani Smith, and Jessa Vohland.
