We are currently well into in our second quarter of the school year, and as the year progresses it becomes more important to help your child establish responsible behaviors to carry him/her throughout the school year. According to the Parent Institute, here are some habits of highly responsible students:
Seven Habits of Highly Responsible Students (the Parent Institute)
1) They set goals.
2) They plan their time.
3) They study every day.
4) They take notes in class.
5) They have the tools they need.
6) They keep their commitments.
7) They get ready ahead of time.
**Experts say if we repeat an action every day for just 21 days, it is likely to become automatic. So for the next 21 days, encourage your child to take on these responsibility habits.
We appreciate your efforts in working with our staff to promote lifelong skills for the rest of the year and into the future. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving! We have many things to be grateful for at Minden Public Schools.
