Scholarships are beginning to arrive at the guidance office. Each senior is given a scholarship deadline list about every other week in their government class. Click here to see the latest list. As scholarships come in, they are added to this list which includes the scholarship name, a brief description of eligibility requirements, the amount of the award, and the deadline. Students should look over these lists to see what scholarships they are eligible to apply for and then come to the guidance office. Some of the scholarship application instructions are in the self serve files where the students can help themselves to the ones they want to apply for. Other, more specific scholarships, are kept in files and they should ask Jayne for information on how to apply.
Seniors are instructed to watch deadlines very carefully. Requests for recommendation letters and transcripts should be made well in advance of the deadline. There are Request for Recommendation Letter and Request for Transcript forms in the guidance office. There are also links below to complete them online and print out. Students are reminded to attached a copy of their personal resume to the Request for Recommendation Letter before giving it to someone. This will help the person writing the letter to comment on specific things the student has done or been involved in.
