The first day of school was Tuesday, Sept. 3 for grades 1-12 and Thursday, Sept. 5 for pre-K and kindergarteners.

1. Update your contact information

Up-to-date contact information is critical for receiving school information through calls, texts, emails and letters.

2. Complete an Application for Educational Benefits

Apply for Educational Benefits to bring critical funding to our schools — more than $100 million each year. Our goal is 100% application completion. Families of all incomes should complete the form.

3. Save your seat on the bus

If you requested transportation by July 31, you will be notified two weeks before school starts of your bus stop time and location.

If you did not request transportation but your child will need to ride the bus, please contact your school.

4. Get on the Infinite Campus family portal

The Infinite Campus family portal provides easy access to your child's schedule, assignments, grades and more.

If you don't have an account, keep an eye out for an email in August from your school with an access link to set up your account, or contact your school.

5. Ensure immunizations are up-to-date

If your child needs immunizations, call Health Services at 612-668-0850.

MPS recommends all eligible students and families receive the COVID-19 vaccine.
