Your first day photos
We asked the MPS community to help us celebrate the new school year by sharing first-day photos and we're so glad that you did! Thank you to everyone who shared their happy moments with us.
School Year Calendar
The first day of school was Tuesday, Sept. 3 for grades 1-12 and Thursday, Sept. 5 for pre-K and kindergarteners.
1. Update your contact information
Up-to-date contact information is critical for receiving school information through calls, texts, emails and letters.
Contact information can be updated with your child's school.
2. Complete an Application for Educational Benefits
Apply for Educational Benefits to bring critical funding to our schools — more than $100 million each year. Our goal is 100% application completion. Families of all incomes should complete the form.
Or request a paper application from your school.
3. Save your seat on the bus
If you requested transportation by July 31, you will be notified two weeks before school starts of your bus stop time and location.
If you did not request transportation but your child will need to ride the bus, please contact your school.
4. Get on the Infinite Campus family portal
The Infinite Campus family portal provides easy access to your child's schedule, assignments, grades and more.
Log in to the Infinite Campus portal
If you don't have an account, keep an eye out for an email in August from your school with an access link to set up your account, or contact your school.
5. Ensure immunizations are up-to-date
If your child needs immunizations, call Health Services at 612-668-0850.
MPS recommends all eligible students and families receive the COVID-19 vaccine.
