Back-to-school Events
Look for information from your child's school about their back-to-school events. Check our list here:
1. Update your contact information
Up-to-date contact information is critical for receiving school information through calls, texts, emails and letters.
Contact information can be updated with your child's school.
Student Placement Services can help with address changes over the summer.

2. Visit SchoolCafe
Visit our Eating at School page for all you need to know about school breakfast, lunch and more. Use SchoolCafe to complete your Application for Educational Benefits, see real-time menus (with nutrition & allergens) and meal purchases.
Questions? Email info.cws@mpls.k12.mn.us.
3. Complete an Application for Educational Benefits
Apply for Educational Benefits to bring critical funding to our schools — more than $100 million each year for academic support, technology and other student resources. Our goal is 100% application completion. Families of all incomes should complete the form.

Or request a paper application from your school.
4. Save your seat on the bus
Bus service needs will automatically roll over from the previous year, so families only need to submit a request if:
- Your home address has changed.
- Your transportation needs have changed
- Your child is newly enrolled at an MPS school.
Call Transportation at 612-668-2300 or contact your school after August 10 to request changes.
Families will be notified once their student is assigned to a bus.
5. Get on the Infinite Campus family portal
The Infinite Campus family portal provides easy access to your child's schedule, assignments, grades and more.
Log in to the Infinite Campus portal
If you don't have an account, keep an eye out for an email from MPS in August with an access link to set up your account, or contact your school.
6. Ensure immunizations are up-to-date
Proof of up-to-date immunizations or an exemption is required for school. Send all updated records to your school nurse.
