Check out Armatage Elementary's Gallery 'A' Art Show on June 3

While much of student-created art follows the classic "fridge-to-filing-cabinet" pipeline, Armatage Elementary ditches the recycling bin for a velvet rope. Armatage Elementary is transforming its halls into a real art gallery, showcasing multiple pieces and different mediums from every single student from kindergarten to 5th grade.

Gallery ‘A’ Art Show will be open June 3 from 5:30 - 7 p.m. at Armatage Elementary, 2501 W 56th St., Minneapolis. This year's theme, "Folklore and Fairy Tales" leaps off the canvas and into the hallways, creating a living anthology where every corridor tells a story.

The event includes a silent auction and student-led stations in a massive community-wide celebration of creativity. From a student-run gift shop to the neon-lit "Glow Show," the event turns a public school into a high-energy gallery for one night only.

The event is led by Armatage teacher Elizabeth Koch, who is celebrating 25 years in the district and 14 years at Armatage. In a world of selective honors, Koch ensures every child sees themselves as a creator. This show is the culmination of her deep roots in our community and her belief that art belongs to everyone.
