Dexter Yee Yick

Dexter Yee Yick, fifth-grade teacher, Pratt Elementary School

"Mr Dexter is a valuable asset to Pratt! He leads the 5th grade class with high, purposeful expectations. Mr Dexter is always open to collaborating with library media lessons and activities. He takes the books shared in library and guides his students in making deeper connections and essential learning.

He recently read a book to his class for the Book Bingo activity we are doing in library, then extended students' knowledge by having them write cinquain poems on the topic. Mr Dexter's lesson was greatly impactful to the social-emotional learning of our students. His class is incredibly fortunate for his leadership.”
