Each month, staff have an opportunity to nominate their colleagues for MPS Shines. Winners are randomly chosen from the nominations and receive recognition across MPS newsletters and social media, a coffee mug and other prizes.

"Rebecca, thank you for your incredible work organizing the Mutual Aid Closet during Metro Surge. Your dedication, coordination, and commitment to supporting families made a meaningful difference and helped ensure resources were available when they were needed most.
Our amazing EI/ECSE mutual aid group at Wilder quickly established a pantry, providing consistent support for families through food and resource delivery, emergency assistance, resource sharing and community care. Their leadership and compassion have strengthened connections across the school community and ensured families feel supported during difficult times."

A true champion of teamwork, he has always kept lines of communication open with parents and lent his time to various committees to better the school experience for everyone. This will be Mike’s final year at Emerson before he steps into retirement. While his daily presence will be missed, the incredible legacy and knowledge he leaves behind will stay with us always. We wish him all the best and much happiness in his next chapter."
