Download new apps for transportation and school meals

MPS has rolled out exciting updates to improve how families access information about their child’s yellow bus ride and school meals. We encourage families to take advantage of the latest services and download both of these apps!

My Ride app

MPS Transportation has launched a new bus routing and GPS system for the 2025-26 school year. Families can download the My Ride K-12 app to request yellow bus service, access route information and request transportation changes.

My Ride K-12 is for yellow bus service only and does not track transportation provided by van, mini-van or taxi service. Learn more about MPS transportation services, including the free Metro Transit student pass for eligible high school students.

SchoolCafé app

MPS Culinary & Wellness Services has upgraded our school meals software to SchoolCafe, replacing LINQConnect. This new system offers improved access to menus, nutrition facts and allergens (in your preferred language).

Families will also use SchoolCafe to:

  • Apply for Educational Benefits for the 2025–26 school year (our goal is 100% completion)! Paper applications are available from your school.
  • Manage your account to purchase a la carte items (such as a carton of milk) and second student meals.

Any funds in your existing LINQ account(s) have automatically transferred to SchoolCafe for future use.  Existing funds will appear once you create an account and link your account using your MPS ID.

Printable PDF menus are still available at mpschools.org/menus.

Download My Ride K-12 and SchoolCafe to stay informed and connected. These apps are now your go-to tools for the most up-to-date transportation and meal information from MPS!
