Have you heard about the MPS technology levy?

In this fall’s election, MPS is asking Minneapolis taxpayers to vote on an increase in the amount of dedicated funding for technology by $20 million annually to minimize cuts to other programs and services.

This would not significantly increase the amount of money MPS spends on technology (beyond typical staffing and other cost increases) or add new technology initiatives. This would fully fund the technology budget and allow for the general funds to instead go to other district needs. 

Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 5, with early voting beginning on Friday, Sept. 20.
