Hennepin County grant awarded for Cooper playground improvements

With the assistance of members of the Cooper community, MPS was awarded a $100,000 Youth Sports Grant from Hennepin County to put toward improvements on the Cooper playground.

While this is only enough funding to upgrade select parts of the playground, as we prioritize resources towards our active school sites this is an important influx of resources to keep this playground as a valuable community asset. 

We will be working with the community in the coming months to get feedback on potential designs for the playground, which will continue to remain under MPS ownership and care.
