MPS statement on false reports involving district vehicles

Minneapolis Public Schools (MPS) is aware of false reports circulating that MPS vehicles are being used by federal agents for enforcement action. No MPS resources have been or will be used to support immigration enforcement action.

This MPS vehicle was stopped in traffic due to enforcement action taking place in front of the vehicle. The driver asked if they could move and were directed to stay in place by federal agents. A photo was taken during this encounter and misinformation is now circulating that implies that federal agents are using MPS vehicles, which is not accurate. For the safety of our students, staff and community, we ask that any misinformation be updated, corrected and shared.
