MPS welcomes new Spanish speaking families with four orientation sessions
Minneapolis Public Schools (MPS) is welcoming new Spanish speaking students and their families to the district with four orientation sessions in January and February. At the orientations, families will learn about different schools in the MPS system, the enrollment process, communicating with schools, resources for families and opportunities offered by MPS.
“Minneapolis Public Schools is excited and proud to be the district of choice for new Spanish-speaking families,” said Edgar Alfonzo, director of engagement. “We encourage families new to the district or country to attend one of the orientation sessions to find the school that’s near them and discover all the ways MPS is making school a welcoming place where all children can succeed.”
