Resources for students during spring break 2026
There is no school on Friday, March 27 for a teacher record keeping day and MPS is on spring break from Monday, March 30 through Friday, April 3. Minneapolis Kids non-school day programs and district offices will be open. School year calendars and observance calendars can be found here.
When school is not in session, children can eat free meals and snacks at many community sites including Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board, Hennepin County Library locations.

Minneapolis recreation centers are open 12-8 p.m. on School Release Days and many have special activities, field trips and events planned for kids and families.
Each recreation center also has unique amenities available for you to drop in when it’s convenient. From Ping-Pong to foosball, open gym or board games, your local rec center is fun way to keep the kids busy when school’s out!
