Severe weather day for Wednesday, March 5
Due to dangerous winter weather, there will be a severe weather day for MPS students today, Wednesday, March 5. Students in elementary school (pre-K - 5) will have no school and students in middle and high school (6 - 12) will have an e-learning day.
As has been previously communicated, middle and high school students must have an e-learning day to ensure that MPS meets the state-required instructional hours.
MPS-sponsored programs and activities including all Community Education programs and Minneapolis Kids will be canceled. High school sports games and adult enrichment classes will continue as scheduled. Student athletes will receive communications from their coaches.
