Washburn Girls Nordic Ski Team wins State Championship
Congratulations to the State champion Washburn High School Girls Nordic Team!
The girls team took the top spot at the Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) Nordic Ski Racing State Meet on Feb. 13 at Giants Ridge in Biwabik, MN. Chloe Angerman (fifth in pursuit), Ciara Thatcher (eighth), and Nell and Eve Gardner (sixth in team sprint) all finished in the top 10, contributing to the team’s victory.
The Washburn boys team finished an impressive fourth place after winning their section meet, capping off an outstanding performance for the Millers in the state competition.
