Update on the March 10, 2026 MPS School Board Regular Business Meeting

Monthly MPS School Board meetings are a good source of information about the direction of MPS. We hope you find this brief overview of key meeting items helpful.

Chair Collin Beachy opened the meeting by thanking the MPS community for supporting each other over the last few months and acknowledged that many are still feeling the impact of recent events in Minneapolis.

Reports and Recommendations from the Superintendent

Dr. Sayles-Adams highlighted events, observances, and acknowledgments:

  • During March, MPS observes Women’s History Month. Students from Bethune Arts and Nellie Stone Johnson will host a special event celebrating the iconic women who inspired their school names on March 17 from 10-11 a.m. at the Davis Center.
