Welding Teacher

My name is CJ and I use she/they pronouns. I have taught at the high school level in Career and Technical Education for 7 years. From certifications in construction and woodworking to fabrication, manufacturing, and engineering, I share an abundance of knowledge with students in the Engineering pathway.

I have first-hand experience of working in the trades as a former Millwright precision industrial mechanic. Having taught printmaking and letterpress to a diverse range of students, I encourage students to develop technical knowledge that, going forward, they can wield practically and creatively.

I am a graduate of Columbia College and Augsburg College. I live in South Minneapolis with my wife, an 18 year old daughter, a soon-to-be baby and a menagerie of animals. When I'm not snuggling my pets, you can find me out on the water in a canoe, tending my garden, or whipping something up in the kitchen.
