Homeschool Services

Minneapolis Public Schools is required to ensure that all school-age children between the ages of 7 and 17 who live within the district's boundaries are being educated.

To comply with the Minnesota Compulsory Instruction Law, instruction must be provided in at least the following subjects:

  • Basic communication skills including reading and writing, literature and fine arts
  • Mathematics and science
  • Social studies including history, geography, civics, and government
  • Health and physical education
