Kindergarten Summer Scholars Academy

Are you looking for something fun for your incoming Kindergartner* to do this summer?

Placement for all incoming Kindergarten Summer programs is available only to students who meet one or more of the following criteria:

  • Qualify for educational benefits (based on family income).
  • Identifies as Native American.
  • Experiencing housing instability.
  • Qualify for special education services (speech-only services are not considered for priority placement).
  • Identified through health and development screenings, with a potential risk factor that may influence learning.
  • Has experienced domestic violence.
  • Has a parent who is incarcerated or on active supervision.
  • Has a parent who is in a substance use treatment program, or a mental health treatment program.

Note: Having a home language other than English is not a qualifying criteria for eligibility.

Incoming Kindergarten students will enjoy a rich, hands-on learning experience that integrates science, literacy, technology, engineering, art, and math. Their day will include engaging read-aloud sessions, small group activities, outdoor recess, and active exploration in learning centers. Each class will be supported by a licensed Teacher and Assistant Teacher to ensure personalized attention and a nurturing environment.
