Community Sites
Although Minneapolis Public Schools students receive free breakfast and lunch meals while at school, we want to provide some resources for families who may need food assistance outside of the school day.
Whether it’s after school, on school-release days or during the summer, kids 18 and under can visit participating community sites for no-cost healthy meals and snacks from Minneapolis Public Schools. Children do not need to attend MPS to participate.
- Community sites include Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) parks, Hennepin County Libraries and other local community sites.
- A list of community sites is available below.
- Contact the park or library directly for building hours, meal times and types (breakfast, snack, super power box, dinner).
- The Free Meals for Kids app can also help determine hours and meal types.
- Visit the MPRB website for their holiday schedule.
