MFE files intent to strike

We want you to be aware of the latest developments in our efforts to reach a contract agreement with MFE, the bargaining group that represents our teachers, educational support professionals (ESPs) and adult education teachers. 

Despite our efforts to reach a contract agreement, MFE has given Minneapolis Public Schools (MPS) official notice of intent to strike, which can begin as early as Tuesday, Nov. 11, unless an agreement is reached before that date. 

MPS and MFE remain in mediation in the hopes of reaching a contract agreement and avoiding a strike. At the same time, we want you to have information about what it would mean if a strike happens.
