MPS reaches tentative contract agreement with MFE
We are pleased to announce that Minneapolis Public Schools (MPS) has reached a tentative contract agreement with the Minneapolis Federation of Educators (MFE) including both the teacher and educational support professional (ESP) chapters. This agreement centers our students and honors the requests and needs of our staff, while balancing the fiscal realities our district is facing.
MFE has shared that because we have reached a tentative agreement, they will not strike.
MFE will share the details about the contract agreement with its members, who will vote on the agreement, followed by a vote by the MPS School Board.
We extend our sincere gratitude to the members of both negotiating teams for their dedication and collaboration throughout this process. This agreement reflects what’s possible when we work together with a shared purpose – supporting our educators, our schools and most of all, our students.
