What is happening?
Increased cases of measles in the metro area. Measles is very contagious and can cause serious illness.

What do I need to know?
The MMR vaccine is very effective to protect individuals and communities against measles, mumps and rubella.
If an individual is exposed to measles and is not vaccinated, they will need to stay home and away from others (quarantine) for 21 days.
Contact your school's health office to provide updated records or with any questions.
What can I do?
If your student does not have documentation of two does of the MMR vaccine, get vaccinated now.
Call your student's regular clinic to make an appointment to get caught up on immunizations.
