Transportation
Need a bus for next year? Save Your Seat!
2026-27 bus service needs will automatically roll over from the previous year, so most families do not need to take action unless your information has changed or you are new to the district.
Families who need to request new transportation or make changes can...
- Call Transportation or the District Communications Center (DCC) at 612-668-2300 or email District.CommunicationsCenter@mpls.k12.mn.us.
- Contact your child's school for assistance when staff return on August 10.
- Student Placement Services can also help with address changes over the summer at 612-668-1840 or by email at SPS.department@mpls.k12.mn.us
Get the My Ride app
Caregivers can track their student’s bus, receive ETA notifications and more using the My Ride app.
Career & Technical Education (CTE) Bus Service
A free shuttle bus service is available for students taking in-person Career and Technical Education (CTE) courses. The shuttle will take students from their high school to the CTE Centers at Edison, North and Roosevelt and back to their school again.
Students will still need to get to and from their high school in order to ride the shuttle bus to the CTE Centers.
Families/caregivers will receive the shuttle schedule from the MPS Transportation department. If you have questions about transportation, call Principal Michael Luseni at 612-408-1345 or email michael.luseni@mpls.k12.mn.us
Bus route changes
Changes to bus routes happen every three days, although not all routes experience a change.
School Transportation Coordinators will notify families when a change affects your student's route (pick up or drop off time, bus stop change, etc.)
