Download the app

• Download the app by (click the link or scan the QR code)
• Once app has been downloaded, open the My Ride K-12 app
• Click Sign Up and create an account
• Enter email, Given name (first name), Family name (last name)
  and create a password

Register

• After creating an account, you'll need to confirm your account
• Tap on the confirmation link in your email to confirm
• In the app, click Continue to log into your new account

Add Student

• Search Minneapolis Public Schools as the school district
• click Add Student to find and add your student
• Enter the student ID, first name and last name
• Repeat this step to add additional students

Share with family members

• Press the Share button to share a student link with someone
• Enter the email of the person you would like to share with. That person must register with My Ride K-12.
• They will receive a confirmation email that will automatically link them to the shared student

Bus Notifications

My Ride K-12 can send notifications about the bus's estimated time of arrival (ETA) to a bus stop. Make sure to turn on the notifications that your family wants to receive. This can be done in the Settings of your My Ride K-12 account.

• Early Arrival Notification – A notification will be sent when a bus is running three or more minutes early.   
• Late Arrival Notification – A notification will be sent when a bus is running three or more minutes late.  
• Arriving Soon Notification – A notification will be sent when a bus is within two minutes of arriving at the stop.  
• Planned Reminder Notification – A notification will be sent when a bus is running and scheduled to arrive on time (a reminder).  These can be very useful at the beginning of the school year when students are getting used to what may be new times and stops.
• ETA Notification at Schools – A notification will be sent when the bus arrives at the school.
