Overview
The Microsoft Authenticator smartphone app helps you sign in to your accounts when you're using multifactor authentication (MFA). Using another factor (like your phone) keeps your account prevents cyber attacks.

Microsoft Authenticator App
To prevent unauthorized activity, all MPS employees must use multifactor authentication. Multifactor authentication (MFA) is a multiple step account login process.
- With MFA, you enter your password and additional information to confirm your login activity.
- The first factor of authentication is your MPS password.
- The second factor is a prompt on your smartphone to approve the login.
The free Microsoft Authenticator Apps has been approved by MPS to confirm or deny your login activity.
Get Started
To complete the installation of the Microsoft Authenticator app, you'll need to use a QR code scanner from your phone.
If your phone doesn't have a QR code scanner, install one from the app store.

- If you're having trouble installing the app, you can go to the IT Service Desk found on the first floor of the Davis Center Central Office.
