Overview
Compliance training is information all MPS employees are required to know. By making compliance training a priority at Minneapolis Public Schools, we can create a safer and better workplace which focuses on building and maintaining trust.
Timeline
Compliance training is mandated by MPS policies, or by laws and regulations passed at the State and/or Federal level.
- As a new employee, you need to complete Compliance training within the first 30 days of being hired.
- To fulfill State and Federal law requirements, all employees must take Compliance training during a designated time each year.
Get Started
Step 1: Open a Google Chrome web browser.
Course completion and progress is tracked by being signed in to your MPS Google Chrome profile. If you use a different web browser, like Safari, your account information will not connect to the system.
Step 2: Sign in to Google Chrome.
If you're NOT signed in to Google Chrome you'll have to take the training again, as your course completion will not be marked in the system.
Step 3: Go to the SuccessFactors Website.
All of MPS' online training courses are found on the SuccessFactors website.
Step 4: Click the Learning tile.
Compliance training is automatically assigned to you by the system. To begin the training, you must go to your Learning page.
-PART 1-
- You must pass a Knowledge Check (with a checkmark) to access the colored "Exit Course" button found in the very last lesson.
- This is the information the system tracks.
-PART 2-
- You need to click the colored "Exit Course" button.
- Failure to click this button means you'll have to retake the training.
- Do not close the internet until after you've returned to your Learning page.
Courses in the Series
It's estimated to take approximately 6-8 hours to complete the entire Compliance training series.
MPS recommends spreading out your training throughout the course of a week, taking two courses a day. Talk to your supervisor/principal to learn about your site's approach for completing Compliance.
